Oh, stop whining, faggot… Well, is it dumb enough yet for you?  Ann Coulter called John Edwards a faggot (if only he was that interesting) and poor Edwards burst into tears like a sensitive teenager, and now Howard Dean is demanding an apology or ritual denunciation or something.  Is it dumb enough yet for you?  You thought it was a presidential race but actually it is a big gay squabble amongst the eighth graders.

Personally I think faggot is a great, funny word, and anyway I thought Dan Savage was reclaiming it, but I guess that hasn't gone through yet.  While it's not really funny or clever for Ann Coulter to blurt out that she thinks John Edwards is a faggot (what's she referring to?), the subsequent uproar is even more eye-rollingly stupid and irritating.  I'm just sick to death of people who go around with thin skins and pout about how they're offended all the time.  Why don't you pussies grow up?  Jesus Christ, as dumb as Coulter is at least she has more balls than you.  She gets criticized as a hag, cunt, shrew, etc. daily but you don't see her blubbering about it like some hormonally confused ladyboy.  It would really be more damaging to her if her comments were just shrugged off as another attention-seeking outburst or a sign of third stage syphilis.  But Edwards thought he could get some pity.

Not that she's helping, but I can't help secretly admiring a woman with a filthy mouth and the nerve to take abuse (for some reason only conservative women like Coulter and Malkin can actually take abuse without whimpering).  Yes, it was incredibly dumb for her to contribute this stupid playground slur, and the response to it is, if anything, even dumber.  But I told you this would happen, didn't I?  Now dumbass Edwards supporters are going to run around demanding everyone read a politically correct response off a cue card or else it means you hate fags!  Doesn't anyone think these antics belong on the set of a Jerry Springer show, not in a presidential race?
